Lila Bjorklund Founder Alpine Academy is proud to be a part of Utah Youth Village. The Village was founded in 1969 by legendary volunteer and child advocate, Lila Bjorklund. Lila worked more than 40 hours a week without compensation, to ensure that through the Village, some of Utah's most desperate children would be taught the skills they needed to succeed in school, on the job, and in their own families. Although she has passed on, her legacy of unflinching advocacy and love for children remains. It is visible in the changed lives of every Village child and Alpine Academy girl.
